Harford County Public Schools is offering a Parent Academy Workshop entitled “Safe Schools Promote Students’ Success”. Join HCPS, the HCPS Safety and Security Office, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, and the HCPS Office of Student Support Services at a community session to learn about the Active Assailant Critical Response Training (ACRT) now used in our schools, as well as other safety topics such as behavioral health threat assessments, school reunification plans in case of an emergency, and the “See Something, Say Something” approach to ensuring all of our children are safe in school. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at Harford Technical High School. Child care will be available.
